Job Title: DB2 DBA with Vertica

Job Location: Charlotte, NC or Newark, DE

Job Length: Full Time / Permanent Position

Required Skills:

• Experience in Database Administration.

• Experienced with the design and development of complex data warehouse systems.

• Experienced in the creation of data models and familiar with star schema design patterns.

• Detailed knowledge and hands on experience working with Vertica, DB2(DPF) or Hadoop.

• Systems engineering skills in database design, development of database tools like stored procedures and functions.

• Familiar with technologies like SAS and in-database processing for transformation of data.

• Comfortable working with multiple technologies and capable of learning and working with Big Data technologies like Hadoop, Cassandra, Vertica as well as traditional technologies like DB2, Teradata, Oracle, and SQL-Server.

• Participate in on-going initiatives and establish best practices.

• Experience with working with the developers/application team for performance tuning, query re-writing, and code development..
