Responsibilities
- Greet and escort patients to treatment rooms.
- Prepare patients for dental procedures and help ensure their comfort.
- Set up treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures.
- Clean, sterilize, and organize instruments in accordance with infection control standards.
- Assist the dentist during a variety of dental procedures.
- Provide patients with oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions.
- Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked operatories.
- Update and maintain accurate patient records.
- Assist with scheduling, documentation, and payment processing as needed.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license or Dental Assistant experience, as required by state regulations.
- Knowledge of dental instruments, procedures, and sterilization techniques.
- Understanding of infection control and workplace safety standards.
- Ability to perform expanded duties permitted by certification, including coronal polishing, is preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Additional certifications or continuing education are a plus.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred but not required.
