About this role
Chalet Dental is looking for an experienced and dedicated full-time Front Office Coordinator to join their team. Our Front Office Coordinators play an essential role in the oral healthcare of our patients, as well as the financial health of the practice. The primary role of the Front Office Coordinator is to partner with clinicians to provide a comfortable and welcoming experience for our patients while maintaining a financially viable practice.
In this role, the Front Office Coordinator will be the first point of contact for our patients and will set the tone for their experience. They maintain productive schedules, verify patient insurance information, and collect all co-pays at checkout, scheduling and collections. This position will report to the Office Manager. The hourly salary range for this position is $22-$25.34 per hour depending on experience. Schedule is 4 days/week Mon- Fri, varied day off.
What You’ll Be Accountable For:
- New patient and hygiene coordination
- Maintain productive schedules and confirm appointments.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, as well as State, Federal and other regulatory bodies.
- Obtain necessary insurance pre-authorizations
- Respond to patient billing, treatment, and other inquiries
- Help Maintain productive schedules and confirm appointments.
- Help Gain financial commitment from patients and collect co-payments.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the office manager.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent
- 1 year dental front office experience required, prior dental insurance coordination experience preferred
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Patient advocate; empathetic, adaptable, and ethical
- Ability to multitask effectively
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Prior experience with Open Dental software preferred
- Must have ability to assist in other office duties as needed
