METRO opened its first cash & carry wholesale center in Pakistan in 2007 & expanded to 5 wholesale centers in a short span of 18 months. In July 2012 METRO and Makro-Habib combined their wholesale business in Pakistan marking the beginning of a long-term partnership to the mutual benefit of both companies. The merger allowed METRO and Makro-Habib to combine resources and gain the financial strength to lead and grow in a challenging environment and to gain synergies targeted to generate value for our customers and suppliers alike. Today the company is operating 10 wholesale centers in Lahore, Karachi, Multan, Islamabad & Faisalabad.

• Ensure compliance with all corporate directives, SOPs, and management instructions issued from time to time regarding Occupational Health & Safety and store security.
• Manage and ensure the continuous improvement of all security matters related to shoplifting, theft, pilferage, robbery, fraud, trespassing, vandalism, and any other criminal activities against the interests of the store.
• Ensure risk assessments and hazard analyses are conducted to identify and report areas of concern regarding safety, security, or any other matter against the interests of the store, and develop proactive solutions to support operations.
• Keep the RM Security and Store Manager informed of all activities or incidents that may be counterproductive to corporate interests.
• Ensure proper deployment, duty rosters, shift management, and attendance of third-party security staff.
• Continuously identify operational SOP gaps, report them, and propose remedial and/or corrective measures.
• Coordinate with third-party service providers on all security-related matters.
