Deputy Director/Project Manager

Description

Strategy Consulting Team (SCT) is seeking a Deputy Director/Project Manager to support the Department of Energy’s National Nuclear Security Administration (DOE/NNSA), Office of Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation (NA-11).

The Deputy Director/Project Manager will have overall responsibility for contract performance and serve as SCT’s principal point of contact and authorized interface with the Contracting Officer (CO) and Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR). The position will lead project personnel, manage contractual and technical requirements, oversee quality and performance, and provide technical and analytical support to NA-11 leadership and program offices.

The successful candidate will combine strong contract and project management experience with scientific or engineering expertise relevant to NA-11’s research, development, testing, evaluation, and experimental science mission.

Any employment offer will be contingent upon contract award, verification of qualifications, maintenance of required security credentials, and Government approval when required.

Duties

• Serve as the principal point of contact and authorized interface with the Contracting Officer (CO) and Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR).
• Manage all project activities and ensure the successful performance of contractual requirements.
• Supervise project personnel, assign work schedules, establish and enforce performance standards, and address work discrepancies.
• Provide technical and analytical support to meet project requirements and organizational objectives.
• Prepare, review, and submit all required reports, deliverables, and project documentation accurately and on schedule.
• Communicate organizational policies, mission, purpose, and goals to project personnel.
• Establish and maintain quality assurance processes to ensure all project performance objectives, standards, and contractual requirements are achieved.
• Monitor project progress, identify performance risks, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
• Serve as a technical advisor assisting in project management and experiment execution, providing subject matter expertise, technical and analytical support.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience working at an NNSA laboratory, or equivalent, conducting program management and/or research for the US Government in national security, intelligence, or defense.
• Advanced Science/Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) degree (Master of Science (MS)/Doctor of Philosophy (PhD).
• Hold an active Q clearance
• Preferred experience supporting NNSA Office of Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation or equivalent organization.

Location: DOE/NNSA facilities in the Washington, DC, area

Compensation: The anticipated salary range for this full-time position is $150,000 to $200,000 annually. The final salary offered will be determined based on factors such as the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and contractual requirements, as applicable.
