Utilizes CADD software to create construction grade detailed design drawings related to electro-mechanical systems of electrical substations.A Designer (II) should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in the industry, and should be comfortable functioning independently, as well as in a team environment.On a daily basis, a designer (II) will spend the majority of the day developing construction plans and details, according to project and customer specifications, national and local design codes and standards.A Designer (II) is sometimes asked to travel to jobsites to collect data necessary to complete their design drawing packages, or to assist in the preparation of a bid package.
Qualifications
* Minimum of a 2 year degree in design, engineering, or engineering technology (or related field) or a high school diploma and 4 years of relevant work experience.
* Expertise in the use of AutoCAD and / or MicroStation
