DevOps Engineer – Amdocs

Overview

Ontrac Solutions is seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to support the migration of legacy systems and applications to Amdocs. This role will play a critical part in automating deployment processes, ensuring high availability, and maintaining smooth integration across multiple environments during the migration process.

Key Responsibilities

• Automation & Scripting

  • Develop robust automation scripts (Python, Bash, Shell, Groovy) to streamline build, deployment, and operational tasks.

  • Eliminate manual processes by introducing Infrastructure-as-Code and automated workflows.

• Migration Support

  • Collaborate with architects, developers, and system administrators to automate service migration to Amdocs environments.

  • Ensure repeatable and reliable migration processes with minimal downtime.

• CI/CD Pipeline Development

  • Design and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines tailored for Amdocs applications.

  • Integrate automated testing and validation steps into pipelines.

• Infrastructure Automation

  • Use tools like Terraform, Ansible, and Helm to provision, configure, and manage environments.

  • Automate scaling, monitoring, and recovery processes to ensure high availability.

• Monitoring & Incident Management

  • Script and automate monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions for proactive issue detection.

  • Build runbooks and self-healing automation for common incidents.

• Security & Compliance

  • Automate compliance checks, access provisioning, and security patching.

  • Ensure safe and secure migration of customer and billing data.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong background in scripting languages (Python, Bash, Shell, Groovy) for automation.

• Proven experience automating CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, etc.).

• Hands-on expertise with infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible, Helm, CloudFormation).

• Familiarity with Amdocs products and telecom OSS/BSS systems (CRM, Billing, Ordering).

• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift).

• Proficiency with monitoring and logging (Prometheus, ELK, Splunk, Grafana).

• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in large-scale telecom migrations or Amdocs transformations.

• Hands-on work with data migration automation and validation tools.

• Familiarity with ITIL processes (incident, change, release management).
