DevOps Engineer

FoodTec Solutions Inc., a trailblazing point-of-sale solutions provider in the restaurant industry, headquartered in Needham, MA. POS Solutions, FoodTec's Premium Partner, is based in the city of Thessaloniki and is seeking a dynamic AWS DevOps Engineer to join our dedicated business development team.

The ideal candidate should have a strong background in AWS cloud services and DevOps practices to enhance our software development and deployment processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain cloud infrastructure using (IaC) across a range of AWS services, including EKS, EC2, Lambda, Route 53, CloudFront and RDS.
• Manage and maintain Amazon EKS environments, deployment workflows using GitLab CI/CD, and YAML manifest files for a fleet of approximately 20 microservices.
• Monitor applications and infrastructure using tools such as Grafana, Loki, CloudWatch, and Sentry, identifying and resolving performance and reliability issues.
• Analyze system performance, capacity, efficiency and reliability trends and recommend improvements to ensure compliance with client SLAs and industry best practices.
• Deploy and decommission client environments for both multi-tenant and single-tenant hosted applications, following established processes and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency with Git and GitLab for version control and CI/CD Pipelines.
• Demonstrated expertise in Kubernetes with a focus on building highly available and scalable solutions.
• Cloud-native networking experience such as Load Balancing, Gateways, TGs/NACLs, DNS, CDNs will be considered a plus.
• Terraform experience will be considered a plus.
• Proven experience with AWS VPC networking and security best practices.
• A Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in software development.
