RESPONSIBILITIES:

This role requires availability for rotating 10 hour shifts, Monday through Thursday with additional overtime as required. Day shift 7:00am - 5:00pm, afternoon shift 5:00 pm - 3:00am.


  • Responsible for safely operating a 10 ton and 25 ton crane for installing and removing production tooling.
  • Responsible for setting up tooling in die cast machines to run production.
  • Install auxiliary equipment as required.
  • Machine set-up as outlined on master set-up instruction parameters
  • Troubleshooting and repairing issues with cast dies during production.
  • Polishing and removing aluminum and graphite from tooling.
  • Assembling and disassembling complex cast dies.
  • Ability to learn quickly and work independently.
  • Work in a safe, efficient manner in co-operation with other factory employees.
  • Accurate, concise completion of downtime logs at the end of each shift.
  • Conduct visual inspection of all cranes, forklifts, lifting equipment and tools for safe operation


ESSENTIAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2-4 years experience in an aluminum die-casting environment preferred
  • Problem Solving & Troubleshooting skills
  • 1 or more years of Crane or Forklift experience
  • TIG welding experience preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to work with hand tools in a mechanical setting
  • Comfortable working within confined spaces
  • Physically able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Highly organized, and self-motivated with above average time management skills
  • Ability to prioritize and multi task in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly and effectively to change
  • Computer literate and mechanically inclined
  • Strong hand/eye coordination
  • Team player, able to work well with others
  • Good housekeeping in the work area of responsibility
