Job Summary

CFC Recycling is looking for a skilled and dependable Diesel Mechanic to join our team. This role is responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet of trucks and trailers

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair diesel trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment
• Perform preventative maintenance and routine inspections
• Repair brakes, suspension, steering, and air systems
• Troubleshoot electrical and engine performance issues
• Conduct DOT inspections and ensure equipment is road-safe
  
• Maintain service records and communicate repair needs to management
• Keep shop and work areas clean, safe, and organized
• Must be able to work in all weather conditions
• Respond to roadside repairs/ breakdowns when needed
• Inspect and replace tires,rims,hubs,bearings and related components
• Ensure that all work meets DOT,OSHA and company standards
• Keep accurate records of labor,parts used and completed orders
• Assist with other equipment issues,set-up, preventative schedules and planning

Qualifications

• 2+ years diesel mechanic experience preferred
• Experience with heavy-duty trucks and equipment
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  
• Valid driver’s license required (CDL is a plus)
• Strong work ethic and dependable attendance

Preferred (Nice to Have)

• Welding / fabrication experience
• Hydraulic system experience
• Trailer repair experience
• Experience with loaders, skid steers, excavators, or recycling equipment
