Essel is seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines and related systems in a variety of vehicles and equipment. Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostics on diesel engines as well as other mechanical components.
* Troubleshoot and repair diesel engines, fuel systems, ignition systems, transmissions, and electrical components.
* Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, filter replacements, and general vehicle overhaul.
* Maintain and update service records for vehicles and equipment.
* Replace or repair defective parts and components, ensuring quality standards are met.
* Respond promptly to service requests and work effectively in a team setting to complete repairs in a timely manner.
* Ensure that all work areas are clean and safe in accordance with company policies and safety standards.
* Keep abreast of the latest technology in diesel mechanics and attend training as required.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a diesel mechanic program or certification is preferred.
- At least 3 years of experience as a diesel mechanic.
- Proficient in the maintenance and repair of diesel engines and their components.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license; CDL is a plus.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
