Dietician, Senior - Children Disability Network Team (Diaitéiteach, Sinsearach)

Job Purpose

The Senior Dietician will be responsible for the delivery of a paediatric dietetic service to the children and families within the community disability network team. The dietitian will be an integral member of the team and will work closely within the interdisciplinary team model of care in order to best deliver a child centred dietetic service. The service will involve in-person clinics, group work, home visits, school visits and resource and pathway development as relevant to the role. The main caseload may include paediatric home enteral feeding, nutrition support, complex restrictive eating and obesity management.

Essential Criteria

Candidates must have at the latest date of application: -

Statutory Registration, Professional Qualifications, Experience, etc

• Candidates for appointments must:
• Be registered or be eligible for registration, as a Dietitian by the Dietitians’ Registration Board of CORU.

AND

• Have 3 years full time (or an aggregate of 3 years full time) post qualification dietetic experience.

AND

• Candidates must have the requisite knowledge and ability (including a high standard of suitability and professional ability) for the proper discharge of the duties of the office.

AND

• Provide proof of Statutory Registration on the Dietitians Register maintained by the Dietitians Registration Board CORU before a contract of employment can be issued.

Annual Registration

• Practitioners must maintain annual registration on the Dietitians Register maintained by the Dietitians Registration Board at CORU

AND

• Practitioner confirm annual registration with CORU to the HSE by way of the annual Patient Safety Assurance Certificate (PSAC)

Health

A candidate for and any person holding the office must be fully competent and capable of undertaking the duties attached to the office and be in a state of health such as would indicate a reasonable prospect of ability to render regular and efficient service.

Character

Each candidate for and any person holding the office must be of good character.
