ING Australia is seeking a Digitisation Lead, Origination, Mortgages.

This is a high-impact leadership role at the forefront of digital transformation in mortgages origination. You will be responsible for driving delivery, performance and direction across an established platform strategy and vision, ensuring continued momentum and alignment with both local and global priorities in a fast-changing environment.

Critical to your success will be experience in transforming mortgages and origination processes utilising AI enabled tools and delivering straight through processing.

Leading a team of experienced SMEs, you will provide clear direction, coaching and support while navigating a complex stakeholder landscape. You’ll work closely with global partners, balancing priorities and championing Australian interests, while acting as a confident decision-maker and momentum driver to ensure the business continues moving in the right direction.

What you’ll do

• Lead and mentor a team of high-performing SMEs, providing clear direction, support and ongoing development
• Drive delivery and execution across mortgage origination, ensuring targets are met and momentum is maintained
• Steer priorities and make critical decisions to keep the function moving in the right direction
• Manage and influence senior stakeholders locally and globally within a complex matrix environment
• Champion digital transformation and continuous optimisation across the mortgage origination journey

What we’re looking for

• Exceptional leadership capability with a proven track record in coaching and developing teams
• Deep mortgage origination expertise (essential)
• Experience in full end to end transformation of origination platform
• Demonstrated ability to operate and influence effectively in a global, matrix organisation
• Proven delivery focus – someone who drives outcomes, meets targets and makes the right decisions
• Comfortable engaging globally (including evening calls) and able to balance local priorities with global direction
