Dining Room Manager

Job Description

Are you a hospitality-driven leader with a passion for service excellence? As a Dining Services Manager, you will lead dining operations that create exceptional experiences for residents, guests, and associates.

In this role, you will oversee multiple dining venues, inspire a high-performing team, and ensure every interaction reflects quality, professionalism, and care. Your leadership will directly impact resident satisfaction, team engagement, and overall community success.

Location: Heritage Greens, 801 Meadowood Street, Greensboro NC 27409

What You’ll Do

• Lead daily dining operations across one or more venues, ensuring exceptional service and guest satisfaction
• Foster a hospitality-focused culture by engaging with residents and modeling service excellence
• Supervise, coach, and develop team members including servers, hosts, and bartenders
• Hire, onboard, and train staff while supporting ongoing performance management and development
• Create and manage schedules to align staffing with operational needs and budget goals
• Monitor labor, inventory, and operational costs to support financial performance
• Conduct inventory audits and maintain accurate purchasing and operational records
• Partner with culinary leadership to ensure seamless service delivery and menu execution
• Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and regulatory requirements
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized dining environment
• Gather and respond to resident feedback to continuously enhance the dining experience
• Collaborate across departments to support community operations and the resident experience
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and service delivery

What You Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent required; hospitality certification preferred
• Minimum of three (3) years of food service experience in a supervisory role
• Proven experience leading and developing teams in a hospitality or dining environment
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and dining operations
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and POS
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed
• Food Handler’s Certification required; ServSafe Manager Certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
