Direct Care Professional

Ability Plus provides services to individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism. Ability Plus provides residential services and assistance to assist the individuals in learning skills to assist with every day living and independence.

Responsible for providing for care to individuals with intellectual disabilities/autism who reside in a group home. Assist the individuals with activities of daily living, i.e. meal preparation, administration of medication, bathing/showering assistance, house cleaning. Transportation to community activities, day habilitation sites, and medical appointments is required. Must be a self-starter and able to work independently. You must be physically able to perform restraints and CPR.Skills: Must be able to read and write. Must be comfortable using a computer. A driver's license is required and good driving record a must. Interviews are currently being scheduled. Previous group home experience a plus. Must be dependable.

Various positions

• Three nights per week Thursday through Saturday 10p-7:30am
• Three evenings, Thursday through Friday, 2p-10p and Saturday 8am-10p
• PRN positions

Qualifications

Must pass criminal background check. Valid driver's license is required, not an identification card. One year of experience working with individuals with disabilities.
