Direct Support Professional - ADS

We are looking for someone who is hands-on, creative, and genuinely enjoys engaging with the individuals we support. The ideal candidate will bring energy, patience, and creativity to daily activities while encouraging individuals to participate, explore their interests, build independence, and experience success.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise a group of individuals involved in Adult Day Support.
• Provide direct care and support to individuals.
• Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, and medication administration.
• Foster a positive and inclusive environment.
• Plan engaging activities.
• Implement individualized care plans and behavior support plans.
• Collaborate with a team of DSPs, supervisors, and other staff members.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of services provided.
• Plan and participate in community outings.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Ability to work cooperatively and communicate effectively with others.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and driving record that meets the underwriting criteria of the agency’s insurance company.
• Must have reliable transportation with the ability to arrive to work on time every day.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
• Obtain/maintain CPR/First Aid certification.
• Experience working with the DD population is a plus.
