Direct Support Professional [Sat, Sun, Mon, Tue, Wed]

About this position

This program supports multiple clients across attendant care and DSA. The hours can be somewhat flexible and the activities will vary. Some clients are just in home while others are community based. It's important for the staff to be good with staying calm and have experience supporting people that can be challenging to support.

Pinnacle is seeking a Direct Support Professional to join our team and provide daily support to individuals with developmental disabilities. The successful candidate will have a passion for serving others and a commitment to creating a safe and inclusive environment for all.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation.
• Ensure the individuals you support receive appropriate care for their medical and behavioral needs.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with the people you support, their families, and other stakeholders.
• Respond to emergencies and provide crisis intervention as needed.
• Follow all policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
• Assists with transfers / lifting
• Comfortable with behavioral support needs
• No animal allergies (pets in the home)
• Able to administer / manage medications
• Comfortable with personal-care tasks

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Able to pass a State of Oregon background check
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and handle challenging situations
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
