Director, Business Intelligence & Analytics

We are seeking a Director, Business Intelligence & Analytics to build and lead a future-proof data, reporting, and contract intelligence infrastructure for our business!

This role is designed for a hands-on builder and strategist ready to architect from the ground up- designing data models, standing up systems, connecting teams, people, and ideas with logic, and delivering the reporting that drives strategic decision-making. Working in close partnership with the Commercial Sales teams across Brothers International, you will take ownership of building databases, automating contract metadata, integrating cross-functional systems, and establishing an overarching BI strategy. As the function matures, this role has the pathway to scale and lead a dedicated team.

The Day-to-Day:

Building for the Future

• Design and build the organization's contract lifecycle management (CLM) infrastructure from the ground up — data model, metadata schema, obligation-tracking logic, and workflows — where no formal system currently exists.
• Architect how contract, CRM, and systems data should be structured, stored, and connected, and build the pipelines/integrations to make it real.
• Identify gaps where no tool, process, or report exists to answer a business-critical question — and build the solution, rather than waiting for one to be provided.
• Prototype, test, and iterate on new systems and reporting before standardizing them into repeatable process.

Technical Systems & Data Architecture

• Design and implement data models and metadata taxonomies for contracts and CRM records that support scalable search, reporting, and automation.
• Build integrations between CRM, CLM, and reporting platforms (via native tools, APIs, or scripting) to ensure data flows automatically rather than manually.
• Evaluate, select, and implement new systems/tools where gaps exist, owning technical configuration — not just requirements-gathering.

Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM)

• Build and own the CLM program end-to-end — intake, drafting, execution, renewal, expiration — including the underlying system and data structure.
• Lead the review and analysis of contracts, particularly master agreements, extracting key terms, obligations, and metadata, and building the structured framework to house them at scale.
• Design and implement an obligation tracking system that proactively surfaces renewal dates, deliverables, and compliance requirements — building the logic and alerts, not just tracking manually.
• Continuously refine metadata standards as the contract portfolio and business needs grow.

Analytics & Reporting

• Build dashboards and reporting (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or similar) from scratch where none currently exist, covering contract status, obligations, CRM data health, and systems performance.
• Analyze contract and CRM data to surface trends, risks, and opportunities, and translate findings into new tools or automated reports.
• Establish the metrics and reporting cadence for contract and systems health, since none currently exist.

Leadership & Cross-Functional Partnership

• Build and mentor a small team of analysts as the function grows beyond what one person can build and maintain.
• Act as the connective link between Legal, Sales, Finance, and IT — building the shared data infrastructure these teams currently lack.
• Represent systems, CRM, and contract operations in cross-functional planning, advocating for what needs to be built and why.
• Drive adoption of newly built tools and processes through training and change management.

What We Are Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Legal Studies, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, systems architecture, or contract/legal operations with direct experience building systems, data models, or reporting infrastructure from scratch, not just operating existing ones.
• Strong hands-on technical skills: data modeling, and experience with data extraction and transformation.
• Experience configuring or implementing CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Dynamics) and CLM tools (e.g., Ironclad, DocuSign CLM, Agiloft, ContractWorks), including integrations via APIs.
• Demonstrated experience reviewing and analyzing contracts, particularly master agreements, and translating unstructured contract language into structured, trackable data.
• Track record of designing metadata schemas or taxonomies from a blank slate.
• Comfortable operating with ambiguity — able to define what “good” looks like when no prior standard exists.
  

Compensation: The good-faith estimated pay range for this position is $130,000-165,000/year, plus bonus.
