Accountabilities:
- Develop and maintain senior executive relationships across Fortune 500 CPG organizations and serve as a key representative within the broader CPG and shopper marketing ecosystem.
- Identify, originate, and cultivate strategic partnership opportunities that deliver value for consumers, brand partners, and the business.
- Build and maintain a multi-year pipeline of prospective CPG partnerships and consistently develop new commercial opportunities.
- Represent the organization at relevant industry events and educate CPG executives on audience reach, purchase insights, and measurable partnership outcomes.
- Monitor emerging trends across shopper marketing, retail media, loyalty, promotional marketing, and related consumer engagement channels.
- Source and negotiate exclusive discounts, cashback programs, product launches, sampling campaigns, and other promotional partnerships.
- Structure creative commercial agreements aligned with brand objectives and consumer value, including complex and high-value arrangements.
- Lead commercial negotiations through contract execution in collaboration with Legal and Finance.
- Develop long-term executive relationships that can generate recurring marketing investments and partnership opportunities.
- Work with retailers to identify and unlock joint promotional initiatives.
- Partner with Product, Marketing, and Data Science teams on capabilities, launches, measurement, and ROI.
- Contribute to the long-term partnership roadmap, develop repeatable commercial playbooks, and help establish scalable processes.
- Support the growth of the partnerships function by recruiting and mentoring future partnership managers.
- 5+ years of experience building commercial partnerships with Fortune 500 companies in the consumer packaged goods sector.
- Demonstrated success originating and closing complex strategic partnerships, including experience negotiating seven-figure commercial agreements.
- Established executive relationships across leading CPG manufacturers and a strong professional network within the industry.
- Deep understanding of shopper marketing, retail media, loyalty programs, brand-funded marketing, and promotional strategies.
- Strong consultative business development and partnership development experience.
- Excellent executive communication, relationship-building, negotiation, and commercial structuring skills.
- Ability to identify mutually beneficial opportunities and translate strategic relationships into measurable commercial outcomes.
- Strong entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to build new opportunities and processes from the ground up.
- Comfortable operating with significant autonomy in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
- Strong cross-functional influence and ability to align Product, Marketing, Data Science, Legal, Finance, and other stakeholders.
- High standards for execution, accountability, and quality, combined with a willingness to challenge conventional approaches.
- Ability to make decisions efficiently, take calculated risks, build trust, and remain focused on delivering measurable results.
- Experience with consumer rewards, cashback, retail media, shopper marketing, market intelligence, consumer fintech, payments, or related sectors is preferred.
- Compensation range of $150,000–$250,000 USD in on-target earnings, including base salary and variable compensation.
- Compensation may vary based on education, experience, qualifications, and market alignment, with exceptional candidates potentially considered outside the posted range.
