Director, HEOR & Value Evidence

This is a senior Health Economics and Outcomes Research leadership role shaping the value narrative for a diverse portfolio of diagnostic and therapeutic assets.
The position sits at the intersection of clinical development, market access, reimbursement, and commercial strategy.
You will lead the generation and translation of evidence that demonstrates clinical, economic, and patient value to payers and other stakeholders.
The role combines scientific study design with strategic external engagement, including support for payer discussions and health system interactions.
You will work cross-functionally with Clinical Development, Market Access, Payer teams, and other stakeholders to address evidence needs throughout the product lifecycle.
The position offers significant influence over evidence strategy, reimbursement readiness, and long-term differentiation in oncology and rare disease markets.
This is an analytical, collaborative, and dynamic environment requiring both technical depth and strong strategic communication.

• Lead the integration of HEOR endpoints into Phase II–IV clinical trial protocols in partnership with Clinical Development, ensuring evidence supports value-based narratives.
• Design and oversee Real-World Evidence studies and patient registries addressing disease burden, treatment patterns, patient outcomes, and longer-term clinical and economic considerations.
• Develop evidence strategies for diagnostic products that demonstrate clinical utility, including how diagnostic results influence patient management and outcomes.
• Support pre-approval information exchanges, value proposition activities, and product launch discussions by translating complex HEOR evidence into clear clinical and economic narratives.
• Serve as a clinical and technical subject matter expert during payer engagements, addressing detailed questions related to study design, clinical utility, outcomes, and evidence generation.
• Lead the synthesis and development of evidence packages supporting National Coverage Determinations and Local Coverage Determinations.
• Identify evidence gaps early in the product lifecycle and develop mitigation strategies aligned with applicable coverage and reimbursement requirements.
• Author and oversee Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy dossiers and specialized HEOR reports.
• Oversee the development of Budget Impact Models and Cost-Effectiveness Analyses for both therapeutic interventions and diagnostic workflows.
• Partner with cross-functional leadership to influence evidence and brand strategy from early development through commercialization.
• Translate scientific, clinical, and economic findings into actionable recommendations for internal and external stakeholders.
• Support strategic decision-making by providing rigorous evidence and clear communication across a matrix organization.

Requirements

• PhD, PharmD, MD, or equivalent advanced degree in Health Economics, Epidemiology, Public Health, or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of HEOR experience within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
• Demonstrated experience supporting both diagnostic and therapeutic products.
• Deep understanding of U.S. CMS reimbursement pathways and associated evidence requirements.
• Strong expertise in Real-World Evidence methodologies and longitudinal database analysis.
• Experience designing evidence-generation strategies and integrating HEOR considerations into clinical development programs.
• Strong understanding of clinical utility, outcomes research, economic modeling, and payer evidence requirements.
• Exceptional presentation and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex clinical and economic concepts to diverse audiences, including medical directors and actuarial teams.
• Ability to work effectively within a matrix organization and influence cross-functional leadership without relying solely on direct authority.
• Strong strategic thinking and the ability to connect scientific evidence with market access and commercial objectives.
