Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive procurement strategies tailored to the transport sector’s requirements.
- Lead the procurement lifecycle including sourcing, supplier evaluation, contract negotiations, and supplier relationship management specific to transport-related goods and services.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to define procurement needs and ensure timely delivery aligned with project schedules.
- Manage supplier performance, risk, and compliance ensuring quality standards are met consistently.
- Stay abreast of transport industry procurement trends, technologies, and market movements to drive innovation and cost-efficiency.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, regulatory standards, and governance frameworks.
- Prepare detailed procurement reports and KPIs for senior leadership to facilitate informed decision-making.
- Lead and develop procurement team members, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of procurement experience with at least 5 years in transport or infrastructure-related procurement.
- Proven track record of managing complex procurement projects and supplier contracts in the transport sector.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience leading and developing procurement teams to deliver high performance.
- Familiarity with procurement regulations and practices within Saudi Arabia is advantageous.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
