We are looking for Discipline Engineer (Mechanical) responsible for leading and coordinating all mechanical engineering activities for large-scale building construction project. The role oversees the design review, installation, testing, commissioning, and handover of HVAC, chilled water, plumbing, drainage, fire protection, and other building services systems.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate all mechanical engineering activities related to: (HVAC systems, Chilled water systems, Plumbing systems, Drainage systems, Fire protection systems and other building services).
  • Review technical submissions and engineering designs.
  • Manage material approvals and technical compliance.
  • Oversee testing, commissioning, and project handover activities.
  • Coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary engineering and construction teams.
  • Ensure all mechanical works meet project specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 10–15 years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering within the construction industry.
  • Proven experience in delivering large-scale building construction projects, including residential, accommodation, mixed-use, institutional, or similar developments.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, chilled water systems, plumbing networks, drainage systems, and fire protection systems.
  • Experience in technical reviews, material submittals/approvals, testing, commissioning, and project handover activities.
  • Ability to effectively coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering and construction teams.
  • Previous experience in Qatar is highly preferred; GCC experience may be considered.
  • Valid MMUP/UPDA certification is preferred for candidates currently in Qatar and mandatory where applicable.
  • Fluent in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership, coordination, and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Familiarity with QatarEnergy, major clients, consultants, and local authority requirements is an advantage.
