The Domain Architect proactively and holistically leads Enterprise Architecture activities for a defined domain, ensuring that domain architecture strategies, roadmaps, and solutions align with enterprise goals, standards, and governance.
Should you be interested in overseeing these tasks and aiming for enhanced performance standards, your role will involve:
Translate business and strategic requirements into domain architecture blueprints aligned with Enterprise Architecture standards and patterns.
Own analysis and design activities within the assigned domain to support integrated enterprise solutions.
Maintain and regularly review domain business capabilities within a central repository.
Assess current‑state domain architecture maturity, identify gaps, and recommend improvements.
Lead the evolution of domain architecture through reference architectures and roadmaps.
Define and apply domain principles, standards, and governance models aligned with Enterprise Architecture.
Participate actively in the Enterprise Architecture Community of Practice
Monitor emerging technology trends and assess their applicability to the domain.
Provide architectural consulting and oversight to projects and solution teams.
Your role must deliver:
Domain capability models
Current‑state and target‑state domain architectures
Domain reference architectures and standards
Domain technology roadmaps
Architecture assessments and recommendations
Domain governance artifacts and scorecards
If you have/are:
Experience in a relevant domain (e.g., supply chain, data, infrastructure, security) with demonstrated architecture responsibility.
Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field preferred (not required).
Enterprise Architecture or domain‑specific certifications preferred
Deep expertise in domain‑specific processes, technologies, platforms, and tools.
Strong knowledge of Enterprise Architecture frameworks, methodologies, and artifacts.
Capability modeling, architecture analysis, and roadmap development.
Understanding integration, security, compliance, and governance within the domain.
Strategic and analytical thinking
Ability to influence and guide stakeholders across business and IT.
Clear and effective communication with technical and non‑technical audiences.
