Tata Consulting Engineers USA, LLC, (TCE), is a multi-disciplinary engineering organization offering a full range of integrated engineering design, project support, procurement and construction management services to the energy and chemicals industries.

Position Summary

Responsible for generating, updating, and maintaining detailed technical drawings for automated systems, electrical distribution, and facility instrumentation.

Responsibilities

Create and revise comprehensive electrical and instrumentation drawings. This includes generating P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams), wiring diagrams, loop sheets, panel layouts, and electrical one-line schematics.

Walk down systems in the field to verify actual plant conditions against legacy drawings. Update blueprints to accurately reflect "as-built" configurations following plant modifications.

Maintain rigorous version control and filing systems within the plant’s technical data management archives.

Work closely with Engineers to correct PIDs.

Qualifications

2-5 years of design or drafting experience in an industrial manufacturing, petrochemical, or refinery environment.

The ability to seamlessly read, interpret, and convert rough engineering sketches into actionable, highly detailed electrical plans.

Ability to read PIDs.

Understands industry standards.

Clearly convey complex information to engineers, operators, and other stakeholders.

Education Requirements

An Associate degree in Computer-Aided Drafting (CAD), Electrical Technology, or a related technical certification is highly preferred.
