Dress Out Operator

Overview

Stewart & Stevenson is Now Hiring a Dress Out Operator at 10750 Telge Road Houston, TX 77095.

Working Dress Out is responsible for performing various manual labor tasks. During dress out, your job duties vary depending on the type of equipment you are working on. Cleaning, working off ladder, climbing on & off equipment while adhering to safety polices. This is the last group to ensure the equipment is in good working order and fit for delivery to our customers.

Responsibilities

• Performs tasks that require physical abilities and effort involving little or no specialized skill or prior work experience.
• Cleaning equipment require working off ladder or stepladder.
• Use a checklist to ensure all details are complete before releasing.
• Notice any deficiencies and report to department for resolution.
• Assists other production workers in production activities.
• All other duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures.

Qualifications

High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) and/or three to seven years related experience.

• Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
• Possessing the trait of being organized or following a systematic method of performing a task.
• Ability to be internally inspired to perform a task to the best of one’s ability using his or her own drive or initiative.
• Ability to utilize the available time to organize and complete work within given deadlines.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to communicate effectively with others using the spoken word.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with people regardless of their age, gender, race, ethnicity, religion, or job type.
• Ability to work at a sustained pace and produce quality work.
• Ability to make decisions or take actions to solve a problem.

Work outside as well as in a shop environment. Shop environment may not have air conditioning.
