Driver Support Engineer

Purpose of the Role

As a Driver / Support Engineer with Clearway, you will be responsible for the safe delivery and collection of CCTV equipment and ancillary items to and from client sites across the UK. You will support installation engineers with the safe unloading and deployment of equipment, ensuring health and safety standards are maintained at all times. This role is field-based in and around Milton Keynes area.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Equipment Delivery and Collection

• Safely deliver and collect Inview equipment and ancillary items to and from client sites across the UK.

• Ensure all items are securely and safely transported to prevent damage during transit.

Health & Safety

• Comply with all relevant health and safety procedures, including Method Statements and Risk Assessments.

• Ensure safe manual handling practices at all times, particularly when lifting heavy items (e.g. 32kg batteries).

• Observe appropriate rest periods and report any safety concerns to the Operations Manager.

Vehicle and Equipment Checks

• Conduct regular maintenance checks on the delivery vehicle and report any defects immediately.

• Verify that all items being delivered are in safe working condition and fully charged prior to departure.

• Keep the vehicle and workspace clean, tidy, and well-organised.

Communication and Reporting

• Communicate effectively with engineers, site contacts, and the operations team.

• Accurately record working hours and activity logs using the company portal.

• Provide feedback on delivery or equipment issues to support service improvement.

Requirements

• A full UK driving licence (minor points considered).

• Strong awareness of health and safety procedures and manual handling techniques.

• Physically fit and comfortable lifting and moving heavy items (e.g. 32kg batteries).

• Comfortable working at heights and in physically demanding environments.

• Experience working in a similar driver or field support role (experience in CCTV or technical equipment delivery is advantageous).

• Good timekeeping, organisational skills, and ability to work independently.

• Confident communication skills, including explaining tasks to site contacts.

• CSCS card (advantageous — training provided if required).

• Forklift Truck licence (advantageous).

• Ability to pass a DBS check (company-funded).

Job location: Field-based, in and around Milton Keynes area.

Salary range: £31,500 - £33,500
