About this role

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Finisher to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, taping, mudding, and finishing drywall surfaces to a high standard, ensuring smooth, paint-ready finishes in residential and/or commercial projects.


Key Responsibilities

  • Apply tape and joint compound to drywall seams, corners, and fasteners
  • Perform multiple coats of mudding and ensure proper drying between applications
  • Sand and smooth surfaces to achieve smooth, level finishes
  • Repair imperfections, cracks, and damage in drywall surfaces
  • Mix and prepare compounds to the proper consistency
  • Operate hand and power tools (taping knives, sanders, mixers, etc.)
  • Inspect finished surfaces for quality and correct any defects
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Coordinate with painters, framers, and other trades as needed


Skills & Qualifications

  • 2+ years of drywall finishing experience preferred
  • Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements
  • Strong knowledge of drywall finishing levels
  • Clean and prepare surfaces
  • Cure freshly plastered surfaces
  • Cut and install vinyl corner beads to protect exterior corners
  • Ability to produce smooth, consistent finishes with minimal supervision
  • Good attention to detail and quality workmanship
  • Ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines
  • Physical ability to lift materials and work on ladders or stilts
  • Reliable transportation and punctuality
  • Own tools (preferred but not always required)


Work Environment

  • Residential and/or commercial job sites
  • Indoor work
  • Will require travel to various job locations
