Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and meal preparation.
- Provide support in maintaining a clean and organized living space.
- Lift and transfer clients safely as needed, ensuring their comfort and dignity.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement individualized care plans.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations in all interactions.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to enhance the well-being of clients.
- Document client progress and report any changes in behavior or health status.
- Engage clients in recreational activities that promote social interaction and skill development.
- Support clients in navigating community resources and services.
Qualifications
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred.
- Background in home care, nursing home, hospice care, or assisted living settings is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of ADLs and the ability to assist clients effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds safely and perform physical tasks as required.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining client confidentiality.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others achieve their fullest potential.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in caregiving or related fields are a plus.
