Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and meal preparation.
  • Provide support in maintaining a clean and organized living space.
  • Lift and transfer clients safely as needed, ensuring their comfort and dignity.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement individualized care plans.
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations in all interactions.
  • Offer companionship and emotional support to enhance the well-being of clients.
  • Document client progress and report any changes in behavior or health status.
  • Engage clients in recreational activities that promote social interaction and skill development.
  • Support clients in navigating community resources and services.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred.
  • Background in home care, nursing home, hospice care, or assisted living settings is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of ADLs and the ability to assist clients effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds safely and perform physical tasks as required.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining client confidentiality.
  • Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others achieve their fullest potential.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in caregiving or related fields are a plus.
