Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Locomotive Engineer/Conductor based out of Richland, WA. You will be responsible for ensuring safety and providing excellent customer service in your designated area. This position requires individuals who are certified as Remote Controlled Locomotive Engineers as it involves operating as a one-man crew.

Responsibilities
Operate locomotives safely and efficiently, adhering to all established regulations and protocols
Oversee and manage all aspects of locomotive operations, ensuring on-time performance and customer satisfaction
Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks on locomotives to ensure optimal performance and identify any potential issues
Communicate effectively with managers, crew members, and customers to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of goods
Uphold high safety standards and promote a culture of safety among the team
Provide excellent customer service by addressing any concerns or inquiries promptly and professionally
Act as a mentor and resource for crew members, assisting in their training and development as needed
Qualifications
Must hold a valid certification as a Remote Controlled Locomotive Engineer
1 Year of Railroad Experience
Proven experience operating locomotives and working in a railroad environment
Strong understanding of safety protocols and regulations pertaining to railroad operations
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions in high-pressure situations
Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in recordkeeping and documentation
Demonstrated commitment to customer service and a strong attention to detail
Ability to work independently with minimal to no supervision
Must possess a valid driver's license
Compensation and Benefits
Competitive hourly wage ranging from $27 to $35 per hour, commensurate with experience
