What you'll do
The Health, Safety, Environment, and Occupational Safety Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring health, safety, environmental, and occupational safety policies and programs to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and standards. You will play a key role in fostering a safety culture, collaborating with different departments to mitigate risks and ensure that operations are conducted in a safe, sustainable, and legally compliant manner.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) processes, ensuring legal compliance and adherence to Regulatory Standards (NRs).
  • Conduct risk analyses, identifying opportunities for improvement and defining preventive and corrective actions.
  • Manage mandatory programs and documentation, including PGR, PCMSO, CIPA, emergency plans, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Serve as the responsible party for EPI (PPE) management processes, supplier safety, and third-party requirement controls.
  • Lead initiatives related to machinery safety, regulatory adaptations, and operational improvements.
  • Manage mandatory training programs and the training matrix.
  • Coordinate environmental management activities.
  • Monitor audits, inspections, client demands, and EHS-related action plans.
  • Build indicators, processes, and internal controls, promoting continuous improvement and area maturity.
  • Act as a business partner, supporting decisions through critical risk assessment and strategic vision.
  • Requirements

  • Previous experience in EHS, Occupational Health & Safety, or related fields.
  • Solid knowledge of Brazilian Regulatory Standards (NRs).
  • Experience in risk management and hazard identification.
  • Knowledge of corporate internal processes and their interface with safety.
  • Experience with PPE management.
  • Experience managing safety requirements for suppliers and service providers.
  • Experience with PGR, PCMSO, CIPA, and document management.
  • Background in audits, inspections, and legal compliance.
  • Bonus:
