Electrical Engineer – Design Ventilation units

Næstved, DKOn-site

AI Summary

An Electrical Engineer designs and validates electrical schematics, wiring and control panels for customer-specific ventilation projects, integrating PLCs and sensors, testing prototypes, and documenting designs to support DTO project delivery.

About this role

Customers increasingly expect customised, high‑performance ventilation solutions delivered quickly and reliably worldwide. In Design‑To‑Order projects, even small electrical design errors can cause delays, integration issues and rework. We’re hiring an Electrical Engineer to strengthen our DTO team in Næstved by ensuring robust electrical design, smooth controls integration, and high‑quality prototypes that support customer‑specific ventilation solutions.

Your Impact

  • Design and build electrical schematics, wiring and control panels using Eplan for customer‑ specific ventilation projects, ensuring safety and manufacturability

  • Integrate and test Schneider PLCs, HMIs, controllers, sensors and actuators in prototype systems to secure reliable behaviour under realistic operating conditions

  • Collaborate closely with mechanical engineers and our Controls Lead to align electrical design with mechanical assemblies and customer requirements

  • Develop test plans and perform structured verification, including functional checks, fault‑find tests and component validation

  • Document thoroughly, creating wiring diagrams, BOMs and test reports to support traceability and future scaling

  • Support continuous improvement, identifying ways to simplify electrical assemblies and reduce build complexity across DTO projects

  • Assist colleagues and external consultants with troubleshooting, panel updates and prototype commissioning in the lab

What Drives Success

  • 3+ years of experience in electrical engineering within ventilation, automation with education as an electrical engineer, marine engineer, authorised electrical installer, high-voltage or low-voltage technician – or have a similar background. Ideally, you have experience as an industrial electrician, electrician, or automation technician.

  • Strong capability in electrical schematics, panel construction, cable sizing and component selection.

  • Hands‑on experience with PLCs or embedded controllers and industrial communication protocols as Ethernet/IP, IO-Link and Modbus. Experience with Schneider PLC systems will be considered an advantage but not a must.

  • Ability to work across mechanical–electrical interfaces and translate customer needs into solid design solutions

  • Structured problem‑solver with strong troubleshooting skills and a practical mindset

  • Clear communicator who collaborates naturally with cross‑functional teams

Real Impact Example

In a recent DTO project for a customised ventilation module, our electrical engineer redesigned the full wiring layout, integrated a new controller platform and validated system functionality through staged prototype testing. Early tests identified wiring losses causing unstable fan control, which were corrected before assembly release. The updated design improved component accessibility and reduced assembly time by 20%. Clear documentation and test reports ensured smooth handover to production and reduced installation support requests. The case demonstrated how strong electrical design and early validation significantly improve product quality and delivery reliability in customer‑specific ventilation projects.
