The Role
Guardian Electrical Compliance is looking for a Installation Electrician to join our team on a permanent basis. In this role, you'll be responsible for identifying, diagnosing, and fixing electrical faults across a range of systems. We're seeking someone with sharp troubleshooting skills and a hands-on, proactive mindset—committed to always maintaining top safety standards and system performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Install Surge Protection Devices (SPDs) across a wide range of commercial, industrial, and critical infrastructure sites, ensuring all work complies with current BS 7671 Wiring Regulations and company standards.
Work safely in live operational environments, including 24/7 facilities, minimising disruption to client operations while maintaining the highest standards of health and safety.
Carry out electrical installation works, including the installation, testing, inspection, and commissioning of SPDs on low-voltage electrical distribution systems.
Assess electrical installations to determine the most appropriate surge protection solution, identifying any associated defects or recommendations where required.
Order and manage materials required for each installation, ensuring jobs are completed efficiently and cost-effectively.
Coordinate with Operations to ensure installations are completed in line with customer requirements, project schedules, and company service level agreements.
Maintain accurate documentation, including installation certificates, test results, photographic evidence, and electronic job records, submitting all paperwork within agreed timescales.
Deliver exceptional customer service, communicating professionally with site contacts and representing the business positively at all times.
Work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility to travel nationwide and, where required, work occasional evenings or weekends to meet customer requirements.
Use company IT systems to record completed works, update job progress, and produce clear and accurate installation reports. Full training will be provided on company software and processes.
Qualifications Required:
Recognised time-served electrical apprenticeship in Contracting, Maintenance, or Mining, with the relevant qualification. (Essential)

Salary Bracket: £48,179.20 (With travel pay included, total annual earnings range from £55k to £65k)

Annual Leave: 22 days of annual leave plus 8 bank holidays
