Responsibilities & Requirements

The Emergency Services Driver ensures the safe and timely transportation of patients, medical personnel, and equipment during emergency and non-emergency situations. This role supports patient care and operational reliability by operating emergency vehicles in accordance with all safety, regulatory, and organizational standards. Performs other duties as assigned. All job responsibilities are to be carried out in alignment with Kettering Health's mission, vision, values, and B Safe program.High school diploma or equivalent.No specific experience required; prior experience in emergency medical services, transportation, or a related field is preferred.Valid Ohio driver's license with a clean driving record. Must be at least 18 years of age. Completion of an emergency vehicle operations course approved by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) or an equivalent course approved by the Ohio State Board of Emergency Medical, Fire, and Transportation Services, or hold a valid certificate to practice as a medical first responder, EMT, advanced EMT, paramedic, firefighter, or be a sworn law enforcement officer in Ohio, in accordance with Ohio Revised Code § 4765.43.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience operating emergency vehicles or working in a healthcare or EMS environment. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
