EMS Team Leader (Environmental Monitoring Systems) - Pharmaceutical Industry

We are currently looking for anEMS Team Leaderto support our client, a leading company in the pharmaceutical industry.

The EMS Team Leader oversees environmental monitoring activities (air, water, surfaces, utilities) across pharmaceutical production, laboratories, and development areas. The role ensures full compliance with cGMP standards while leading a team to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality operations.

Key Responsibilities :

• Lead and develop a team of EMS technicians and experts (coaching, performance, career growth)

• Ensure efficient and compliant execution of environmental monitoring activities

• Oversee GMP documentation and quality systems (SOPs, deviations, CAPA, change control)

• Manage investigations, escalations, and audit readiness

• Act as EMS representative in projects and inspections

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives (quality, efficiency, cost)

• Monitor KPIs (productivity, timelines, performance) and align with business objectives

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Production, QC, Facilities, suppliers)

Profile :

• Master’s degree in Microbiology, Biotechnology, Chemistry, or related field

• Minimum 2 years of team leadership experience

• Strong knowledge of cGMP (FDA, EU, ISO)

• Experience in pharmaceutical or cleanroom environments is a plus

• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

• Detail-oriented, quality-driven, and proactive mindset

• Fluent in English and Dutch

Position available ASAP, with a starting salary of €45,000 gross per year.
