Our product organisation is built around autonomous product teams that own their domains end-to-end, ship frequently, and make their own decisions. We're adding an Engineering Manager to help our teams and people thrive.

You'll be the people leader for engineers across multiple autonomous product teams and part of a team of Engineering Managers who together drive team performance, engineering culture, and the conditions for great work. Your job isn't to direct but to create the conditions where self-organising teams deliver their best work.

What you will do

  • Hire exceptionally — building great teams starts with getting the right people in. You have high standards, you know what good looks like, and you treat hiring as one of the most important things you do

  • Grow people — own the careers of the engineers in your teams. 1:1s, honest feedback, stretch opportunities, and the conversations that actually matter

  • Build high-performing teams — not by directing, but by creating the conditions where great engineers do their best work and hold each other to a high bar

  • Partner with PMs — be a genuine co-lead on your teams. Bring the people and capacity perspective, push back when needed, and make the team stronger together

  • Keep the engineering bar high — you won't be the technical decision-maker, but you'll notice when standards slip and ask the questions that bring them back up

Who you are
You've built and led engineering teams in a scale-up environment. You know how to grow an organisation while keeping the speed and energy that makes it great. Specifically:

  • You've led engineers in a product-driven scale-up and made autonomous teams actually work, not just in theory

  • You're technically credible. Engineers respect your judgment even though you're not writing the code

  • You give feedback that lands, have the hard conversations early, and take people's growth personally

  • You see what needs to happen and make it happen, without waiting to be told

  • High empathy, sharp instincts, low ego

  • Clear communicator in English. Swedish is a plus.
