Job Summary

The Equipment Engineer is responsible for supporting and optimizing the substrate manufacturing equipment. This role combines hands-on Equipment ownership and operational excellence with applied engineering analysis, ensuring consistent equipment stability, product quality, yield improvement, and process stability and OEE. The engineer will also contribute to data-driven research and improvement initiatives to advance equipment capability.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide Equipment Maintenance and Troubleshooting support to Manufacturing.
• Data Analysis to identify inefficiencies and recommend enhancements. Participate in troubleshooting, debugging, and maintaining automation equipment and processes.
• Assist in designing, testing, and implementing automation solutions, including hardware and software components.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to identify opportunities for automation improvements.
• Support the integration of control systems, sensors, actuators, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to optimize performance.
• Document project progress, technical specifications, and outcomes for future reference and compliance. Stay updated on emerging automation technologies and contribute innovative ideas to improve system capabilities.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Electrical & Electronics  Engineering / Mechatronics Engineering. Candidates from Computer Science with exposure and interest in Hardware and encouraged to apply.
• Proficiency in  SolidWorks, or equivalent engineering software will be added advantage.
• Programming/data analysis skills: MATLAB, Python, C++, or R will be added advantage.
• Knowledge in Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics, Heat Transfer, and Structural Mechanics will be added advantage.
• Experience in technical report writing, field data collection, and equipment condition assessment
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in operational environments
