Role Description
- Lead daily operations across maintenance, yard, and logistics functions
- Coordinate schedules, resources, and workflows to meet production demands
- Manage transportation planning, routing, and delivery coordination
- Support and develop the lead, drivers, and other team members
- Partner with internal teams to align priorities and ensure execution
- Drive process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce downtime
- Ensure equipment and facilities are maintained/repaired and operating effectively
- Monitor performance, manage costs, and support operational reporting
- Assist with hiring, training, and performance management
- Help maintain a safe, compliant, and well-organized work environment
Key Qualifications
- 5 years of leadership experience in operations, logistics, maintenance, or a related field
- Bachelor’s degree in production, logistics, or a related field
- Ability to manage and quickly respond to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Effective communication and team collaboration abilities
- Experience working with equipment in transportation or production environments is a plus
- Able to meet physical demands including material handling and extended periods of standing and movement
- Proficiency with standard business tools and systems, including technology
Work Environment & Schedule
- Primarily based in a production/shop and yard environment
- Regular interaction with equipment, materials, weather, and active work zones
- Schedule typically aligns with first shift, with flexibility required based on operational needs
- Occasional extended hours or after-hours support will be needed
