About the role:

Fossil Landscape Construction isseekinga highly motivated and experienced construction professional toleadourestimatinganddrivein new businessdevelopment.

This roleis responsible forreviewing drawings, assessingprojectrequirements,performingtakeoffs,estimatingvariousconstructiontasksandpreparing proposals for residential landscaping projects.

This individual will also contribute tosalesand business development effortsof the company.This includes proactively seekingnewprojectopportunitiesin the marketplace and expanding industry relationships.An emphasisgiven tocandidateswho haveprovensales experience andexisting relationships with custom home builders, as well as architectsand landscape designers.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyzelandscapeplans,drawings,specificationsandotherprojectdocumentsto accurately determine overall project scope and requirements.
  • Attenddesignmeetingsandsitevisitstogatheradditionalprojectinformation.
  • Completequantitytake-offsfromplans.
  • Developaccurateanddetailedcostestimatesoflabourmaterials,equipmentandother expenses.
  • Communicatewithvendors,subcontractorsandteammemberstoobtainnecessary information to complete estimates.
  • Coordinatewiththeprojectmanagementteamtoensurethatproposalsarepreparedina timely and accurate manner.
  • Proactively identify and pursue potential new projects contacting key stakeholders and developing a plan to secure work
  • Leverage existing relationships and develop new contacts to build lasting partnerships with sources of business.

What you bring:

  • Minimumof2yearsofexperienceinlandscapeconstructionestimating,preconstructionor project management.
  • Minimumof3yearsoffieldexperienceinlandscapeconstruction.
  • Proven track recordin sales, including relationship management
  • Strongknowledgeoflandscapingandconstructionpractices,materials,andequipment.
  • Abilitytoreadandinterpretlandscapeplans,drawings,andconstructionspecifications.
  • Proficientincomputersoftwareapplicationsincludingestimatingandprojectmanagement software.
  • Excellentcommunicationandorganizationalskills.
  • Keenattentiontodetailandoperateswithasenseofurgencyandaccountability.
