Job Description
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Events Assistant to join our growing team in Detroit, MI. This position plays a key role in supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of events from concept through completion. The ideal candidate will be a highly organized team player with excellent communication and time management skills.
Responsibilities
Assist in planning and organizing events, including logistics, timelines, and vendor coordination
Support on-site event execution and troubleshooting
Maintain and update event schedules, budgets, and documentation
Coordinate with internal departments and external vendors to ensure smooth operations
Prepare materials, presentations, and follow-up reports
Assist in managing event inventory and supplies
Conduct site visits and assist with venue arrangements
Provide administrative support as needed to the Events Manager
Qualifications
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Communications, Marketing, or related field (preferred)
1-2 years of experience in event coordination or administrative support (internships considered)
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed
