Facilities Technician (General Labor) 1st shift

GTI is a contract manufacturing partner supporting customers in renewable energy, power generation, infrastructure, and industrial systems.

We fabricate custom designed, purpose-built enclosures and skids for our customers and perform mechanical and electrical integration in-house, delivering a true turn-key product to our customers. Our scope spans Engineering, prototype builds, through full production, requiring teams that can move fast, adapt, and execute with precision.

Position Overview:

GTI is seeking a dependable and hardworking Facilities Technician to support the daily upkeep, cleanliness, and general maintenance of our manufacturing facility. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in maintaining a safe and organized environment, and is willing to assist with a variety of general labor tasks throughout the facility. The Facilities Technician will work closely with multiple departments to ensure the building, work areas, and equipment remain clean, functional, and production-ready.

Seasonal -

Lawn Cutting/ Weed Whacking

Leaf Removal

Snow Removal: Clearing snow and ice from walkways, driveways, and other areas during winter months, along with salting such areas.

Seasonal Planting/ Garden Upkeep/ Weed control

Trash Removal & Emptying Hoppers.

Equipment Maintenance: Aid Facilities Manager in record/log keeping of Preventive maintenance on all facility equipment.

Ride on Floor Sweeper.

Assist the Facilities Manager in monitoring sub contractors and vendors.

Valid NYS Drivers License.

Ability to operate a zero turn lawn mower, weed whacker, and other outdoor power tools.

Forklift Certified.

Ability to operate a floor sweeper.

Working knowledge of OSHA safety rules and requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experience in plumbing and/or electrical field.
