Saint Louis University, a Catholic, Jesuit institution, dedicated to student learning, research, health care, and service, is seeking applicants to join our dynamic faculty for a full-time non-tenure trackfaculty appointment as an Academic Fieldwork Coordinatorfor the Master's inOccupational Therapy Program. This position has an anticipated start date of January 2026and will have 50% time dedicated to the role as Academic Fieldwork Coordinator. We are seeking talented candidates to provide clinically focused learning opportunities for students.

The successful candidate will be expected to teach in an area of expertise, engage in scholarship, and provide service to the Department, College, and/or University. Primary academic fieldwork coordinator responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Collaboration with faculty to ensure the fieldwork program reflects the sequence andscope of curricular content to design fieldwork experiences strengthening the ties betweendidactic and fieldwork education

• Matching and assigning students to fieldwork placements and advise students of the overall fieldwork (Level I and Level II) process and program

• Communication with students and fieldwork educators related to student progress andperformance during fieldwork experiences

• Representing the Program at various trainings, meetings, conferences, and clinical site visits

The Master’s in Occupational Therapy Program is housed within the Doisy College of Health Sciences (DoisyCollege.slu.edu). Faculty have access to classrooms and laboratories with state-of-the-art teaching and research technologies. Fieldwork coordination responsibilities are supported by staff in both the department and Dean’s office related to site identification and management of contracts. The Paul C. Reinert, S.J. Center for Transformative Teaching and Learning provides faculty resources toassistin designing meaningful and engaging classroom experiences. The competitive total compensation package includes tuition remission for qualified personnel and a generous retirement plan.  Rank and salary are dependent on qualifications and experience.

Position Requirements

Required

• Minimum of a master’s degree

• Licensed occupational therapist with at least five years of practice experience

• At least three years of experience as a fieldwork educator for Level I and/or Level II fieldworkand/or instructing students in a classroom or lab environment at the college or university level.

• Currently licensed as anoccupational therapist or eligible for licensure in the state of Missouri

• Evidence of current content expertise including clinical education

• Evidence of teaching experience (e.g., course instructor, continuing education, conference presentations)

• Served as a clinical instructor and/or site coordinator of clinical education

Preferred

• Terminal doctoral degree: Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD) or academic doctoral degree (e.g., Ph.D., Sc.D., Ed.D.)

• Evidence of University teaching experience (e.g., course coordinator, laboratory instructor, or lecturer)

• Record of peer-reviewed scholarship
