The Role and Responsibilities of the successful candidate include:

To support our clients Vision Integrity Engineering is looking to hire for a part-time position an electrical inspector for field evaluations. The role is to carry out inspection of unapproved and custom-built electrical equipment to SPE-1000 and the Canadian Electrical Code. The role is Calgary-based with office and remote-based work. Inspections are provided primarily in Alberta with visits to other provinces also required.

• Hold a current Certificate of Qualifications as a Journeyperson Electrician for a minimum of 6-years.
• Hold a current Certificate of Qualifications as a Safety Codes Officer in Electrical Group A.
• Experience in the interpretation and application of the CSA Electrical Standards.
• Experience with the design, manufacture and testing of all types of electrical equipment.
• Experience with inspecting a variety of electrical equipment including domestic, light and heavy industrial.
• Have a mature and professional attitude towards work.
• Experience preparing reports in Word and Excel.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Must be able to work safely and diligently.
• Able to travel and work in the field in all seasonal conditions.
• Valid Class “5” Driver’s License is required.
