Field Service Engineer (ESS / PV) - Ireland (2 years temporary contract)

Your mission

Hello and welcome to Sungrow Ireland! We are looking for a hands-on Field Service Engineer on a 2-year temporary contract to help keep clean-energy systems performing at their best across the country. Curious what this is all about? Let’s dive right in:

• Deliver on-site commissioning, maintenance and repair services for Sungrow solar inverter and energy storage solutions.
• Diagnose technical issues through remote monitoring, on-site testing and structured troubleshooting.
• Carry out preventive maintenance activities to maximise system availability, safety and performance.
• Support customers, EPC partners and service providers with clear technical guidance and practical solutions.
• Document service activities, findings and corrective actions accurately in the relevant reporting systems.
• Work closely with technical support, project and sales teams to ensure an excellent customer experience.

Your profile

All right, that was intriguing, wasn’t it? To feel confident and thrive in this role, your ideal background should look a lot like this:

• You hold a qualification in electrical engineering, electronics, renewable energy or a related technical field.
• You bring hands-on experience in field service, commissioning, maintenance or technical support, ideally within solar, storage or power electronics.
• You are confident reading electrical drawings, using diagnostic tools and working safely with low- and medium-voltage systems.
• You enjoy solving problems independently while keeping customers informed and supported throughout the process.
• You are comfortable travelling regularly across Ireland and hold a valid driving licence.
• You communicate clearly in English at C1 level; additional European language skills are a plus.
