Job Summary
The Field Supervisor is responsible for overseeing day-to-day field operations and ensuring security personnel are properly staffed, trained, licensed, and compliant with company policies and client requirements. This role serves as a liaison between field staff, clients, and senior management to maintain high-quality security services.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Operations & Staffing
- Oversee daily field operations across assigned client sites
- Ensure all posts are properly staffed and covered
- Conduct regular site inspections and performance evaluations
- Respond to emergencies, incidents, and call-offs
Personnel Management
- Supervise, coach, and evaluate of security officers
- Enforce attendance, communication, uniform, and conduct standards
- Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, and disciplinary actions
- Maintain consistent communication with field personnel
Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal security regulations
- Verify and maintain required licenses and certifications
- Review incident reports, daily activity logs, and documentation
- Support investigations and corrective actions
Training & Quality Control
- Ensure personnel meet licensing and training requirements
- Conduct quality assurance audits
- Recommend operational and training improvements
Administrative Duties
- Assist with scheduling & timekeeping
- Coordinate with HR on employee documentation
- Prepare operational reports for management
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in security operations or field supervision
- Proven leadership and personnel management skills
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Licensing & Certification Requirements (Required)
- Active Guard Card in good standing
- Valid License to Carry / Firearms Permit as required by state law
- Ability to maintain all required licenses throughout employment
- CPR / First Aid certification (preferred or required within designated timeframe)
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior law enforcement experience (local, state, or federal)
- Prior military service (any branch), especially in leadership or security roles
- Experience managing armed security personnel
- Knowledge of emergency response protocols
Physical & Work Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods
- Ability to respond quickly in emergency situations
- Ability to lift up to 25–50 lbs
- Field-based role with some administrative office duties
