Final Trailing Docs Team Lead

DESCRIPTION:

The Team Lead for Final Trailing Docs oversees the comprehensive document retrieval and perfection lifecycle. This role manages a team of 10 Specialists focused on high-volume document imaging, system validation, and physical fulfillment. The TL is responsible for maintaining the health of the trailing document aging report and ensuring that all collateral is perfected for the end investor.

• Workflow Optimization: Manage the end-to-end document workflow, ensuring the team processes ~225 documents daily with a 15-minute average cycle time.
• Vendor Management: Oversee relationships with third-party settlement agents and title companies to ensure timely return of recorded Mortgages and Final Title Policies.
• Exception Handling: Manage the "Aged Items" list, personally intervening in cases where documents have been outstanding for more than 90–120 days post-closing.
• Fulfillment Oversight: Ensure the integrity of the digital-to-physical handoff, including the accuracy of FedEx shipping manifests and custodians' receipt acknowledgments.
• Data Integrity: Verify that the team is correctly updating the Loan Origination System (LOS) to reflect accurate tracking of document status from "Requested" to "Closed."

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required Education and Experience:

• 3+ years of experience in Mortgage Servicing, Title, or Post-Closing Document Management.
• Expertise in county recording requirements and title policy standards.
• Strong leadership skills with a focus on high-volume production and administrative accuracy.
