About this role
Chapman Tripp’s Wellington Finance Practice is looking for a Senior Solicitor or Senior Associate to join its high-performing team for a project finance role. We are keen to speak with candidates who have infrastructure experience, including procurement, contracting or financing.
Our clients and our work
We are a three-partner finance team, with Leigh Kissick and Mark Reese leading the project finance work. Working alongside Leigh and Mark you will have the opportunity to act for a wide range of high-profile clients – including banks and funds, developers, local authorities and key public sector entities. The work in our project finance practice covers both transactional and advisory issues. For example, our team has advised:
- on the development and project financing of large-scale renewable energy projects
- on the Infrastructure Funding and Financing Act
- Government on public private partnerships
- certain Government agencies on new approaches and related structuring advice for the funding and financing of infrastructure
- clients in the energy sector on significant projects
Our Wellington office
Chapman Tripp is the largest law firm in Wellington and prides itself on a collaborative environment. As the successful candidate, you will work directly with Leigh and Mark and other leading infrastructure and finance lawyers in New Zealand. You will also have the opportunity to learn from the wider Chapman Tripp team on Energy, Construction, M&A and Resource Management.
