AI Summary
A Financial Analyst supporting project financial modeling, debt facility compliance, and corporate financial analysis for a waste management carbon removal company.
About this role
Vaulted is a waste management company that removes carbon. Vaulted is based in Houston, San Francisco, and Kansas.
With a growing team of 70+ people across the country, Vaulted signed the second largest carbon removal offtake ever with Microsoft in July 2025 and is rapidly expanding to new sites.
Vaulted's proprietary technology builds on decades of expertise to deliver safe, durable carbon and waste management solutions now, at scale.

About Vaulted Deep
About the Role
We're hiring a Financial Analyst to join our Houston-based team, reporting to the Director of Strategic Finance. This is a true generalist seat at a project-development company: you'll split your time across project financial modeling, debt facility compliance, and corporate financial analysis. You'll work directly with senior leadership and touch nearly every part of the business — site economics, lender reporting, budgeting, and the analysis that supports our capital raising.
This role is well suited to someone with a project finance, infrastructure, or energy background who wants broader exposure than a single-asset or single-function seat provides.
What You'll Do
Site & Project Modeling (second chair)
Support development and maintenance of site-level financial models
Run scenarios and sensitivities to support site development decisions, commercial negotiations, and investment approvals
Maintain model integrity, version control, and documentation
Debt Facility Compliance
Own the compliance calendar: covenant calculations, compliance certificates, and lender reporting packages
Track conditions precedent, reserve account requirements, and reporting deadlines across a multi-entity structure
Coordinate with accounting, legal, and lender counterparties on deliverables
Financial Analysis
Support monthly reporting, budget vs. actual variance analysis, and cash forecasting across multiple entities
Build analyses for board materials, investor updates, and fundraising diligence
Ad hoc analysis for leadership across commercial, operational, and strategic questions
What We're Looking For
Required
1–3 years of finance experience in infrastructure, project finance, energy, or a related asset-heavy sector (investment banking, project developer, infrastructure fund, lender, or similar)
Bachelor's degree with coursework in both finance and accounting
Advanced Excel proficiency: comfortable building and auditing three-statement and project models from scratch
Working understanding of debt documentation concepts (covenants, waterfalls, reserve accounts) or demonstrated ability to get up to speed quickly
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage recurring deadlines independently
Located in Houston, TX or willing to relocate
Nice to Have
Exposure to infrastructure tax credit monetization
Experience with multi-entity structures and consolidation
Familiarity with carbon markets, waste industry economics, or environmental commodities
Experience supporting lender or investor diligence processes
