Fitness Instructor - Aisle 19

Are you ready to join Touchstone Climbing’s newest and most exciting gym in the Bay Area? Aisle 19, our newest bouldering gym is located in San Francisco. It's more than just a climbing and fitness facility—it’s a hub for community, inclusivity, and personal growth. We’re looking for a wide variety of Fitness Instructors to help us create a thriving, welcoming destination for climbers and fitness enthusiasts alike.

Our newly opened gym is seeking energetic Fitness Instructors to help build and expand our group class calendar. We welcome experience in group fitness, CrossFit, HYROX, cardio conditioning, boxing, kettlebells, calisthenics, Olympic lifting, and other disciplines. Ideal candidates can have group fitness experience, strong communication skills, lead safe, engaging classes for participants of all skill levels.

Weekday availability for morning/night classes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement safe and effective exercise programs for class participants of all fitness levels
• Lead group fitness instruction
• Provide guidance and support to class participants to help them achieve their fitness goals
• Ensure all equipment is clean and in good working condition; alert management if there are concerns
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends and research to continuously improve the quality of service provided

Qualifications

• Education or background in kinesiology or body mechanics
• Experience as a group class instructor
• Flexible in teaching styles and modalities
• Strong understanding of proper form, technique, and safety considerations
• Available to reliably teach at the scheduled class times

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with a variety of training modalities such as yoga, pilates, mobility, or similar disciplines
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to motivate and inspire clients to achieve their fitness goals

Compensation and Benefits

The pay range for this role is $40/ per hour. Instructor individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to; facility location and type, membership volume, experience, and job/position tenure.
