Food Expeditor

Overview

Parkwest Bicycle Casino is seeking for a Food Expeditor for our Food & Beverage team! This position requires a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualified candidate for the Food Expeditor ensures the smooth and timely flow of orders from servers to the kitchen, checks dishes for accuracy and presentation, assists in final dish preparation, maintains fast service, handles customer complaints, and upholds quality and sanitation standards. Assist in areas as needed or assigned.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the efficient flow of orders from the servers to the Requires full knowledge and understanding of menu.
• Ensure orders are being prepared with the correct priority.
• Assist in the final preparation of dishes.
• Communicating customer complaints or modifications back to the cooks.
• Check dishes before delivery for accuracy, presentation and temperature
• Deliver orders via robot to maintain fast service.
• Assist with delivering food to restaurant tables and bar, when available.
• Checks that all dishes match a ticket including modifiers and special instructions prior to delivery; ensures orders are complete.
• Communicates any issues that arise with guest dissatisfaction to the supervisor/manager.
• Assists in cleaning tables and ensures that all areas are clean and maintained in safe condition.
• Maintain complete knowledge of all menu items.
• Must be available to work any given shift, including weekends and holidays.
• Support the team by anticipating the need for and providing help as needed.
• Communicate effectively with others, reports incidents, hazards and problems to leads, supervisors, and/or managers.
• Other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass mandatory screening including a background check, and drug test.
• Must possess a California Food Handler Card.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Able to deal effectively and interact well with customers and co-workers.
• Able to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
• Available for work which may include weekends and evening scheduling and ready for all programs and activities.
• Able to work any given shift including weekends and major holidays.
• Able to communicate clearly with team members.
• Able to work independently.
• Able to work within a team environment.
• Requires strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task effectively.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience: 1-2 years’ experience as a previous Food Expeditor in a facility of comparable quality desired or combination of education and experience.

Physical and Mental Requirements:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be able to lift and carry tools, supplies, and inventory up to 35 pounds.
• Must be able to perform all essential duties with or without accommodation.
