Westmead Private Hospital opened in October 2000 and is owned and operated by global hospital group, Ramsay Health Care.  We cater for a broad range of health care needs from day surgery procedures through to highly complex surgery. The 212 bed private hospital is co-located with Westmead Hospital and Westmead Children’s Hospital and is a teaching hospital of the Western Clinical School of the University of Sydney

Westmead Private Hospital has an exciting casual position available. As a valued member of our Patient Catering Team, you will play an important role in delivering exceptional food service by preparing patient meal trays, taking meal orders, and assisting with food preparation tasks.

In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for:

• Preparing and serving meals and beverages in line with dietary requirements and hospital standards.
• Maintaining a clean, hygienic, and safe working environment at all times.
• Assisting the broader catering team with daily operations and special requirements.
• Monitoring and managing stock levels to ensure efficient service delivery. 

About You

To succeed in this role, you will be a reliable team player who thrives in a busy environment.

You will also demonstrate:

• Previous experience in a prep kitchen or hospital environment (highly desirable)
• Understanding of food safety and hygiene principles
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong customer focus
• Compliance with HACCP, Food Safety and Workplace and Health and Safety
• Certificate II or Certificate III in Hospitality (desirable) 
• Willingness to accept and promote Ramsay’s core values
• Flexibility to work across a 7-day roster

Additional Information
